Gabriela Granados García, OTR, MS

Occupational Therapist

Gabriela has worked as an occupational therapist in pediatric and adult settings including home health, outpatient clinics and inpatient rehabilitation. She currently teaches Occupational and Physical Therapy Bachelor level students at Universidad Teletón and works clinically in private practice. Her research focuses on assessment of upper limb function including the translation of validated tools for children with Hemiplegia to Spanish, using diverse modalities for children with Cerebral Palsy. She established a validated Spanish version of the Hand Assessment for Infants (2019), allowing early diagnosis of Unilateral Cerebral Palsy. She authored a book chapter based on her presentation at the Second Iberian-American Congress on Neurorehabilitation (2020), focused on novel use of technology to establish therapeutic goals and measure functional outcomes. She studied at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México and completed the coursework for a Master Degree in Neurorehabilitation at Centro Mexicano Universitario de Ciencias y Humanidades. She is an individual member of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists as well as a delegate of Mexico at it, she is also an active member of the Association of Professionals in Occupational Therapy AC.
